In this program, the student is prepared with the technical skills and practical training necessary for entry level positions as a Medical Assistant capable of performing a variety of duties with technical detail, helping the physician in many clinical situations. MAs are vital members of a healthcare team; they perform many tasks that focus on quality patient care while assisting medical staff members with administrative and medical duties. Our Program is approximately 45 weeks long, with 915 clock hours required. The MA program allows students to prepare for medical assistant job tasks while having an inside look at the medical field to assist students in gaining confidence about a healthcare career. Students enrolled in our program will have a medical assistant externship opportunity. During the externship, you will learn about medical assistant career opportunities and where you can work, such as local agencies, organizations, or companies. As an extern, you will have opportunities to form foundational relationships with medical field experts and form clinical experience.
